Social Justice Technology Academy

Welcome to SJTA

The Social Justice and Technology Academy (SJTA) provides students with an education founded on social awareness and STEM-based careers. During the student's 9th grade year at AEE, they can select to participate in the SJTA program during their 10th-12th grade year. Students will work to prepare themselves for college and careers in the 21st century with experiences and a curriculum that provides them STEM training in computer science while also making them socially aware and responsible members of society. Students that have participated in SJTA have gone to college to major in Engineering, Computer Programming, Web Design, Social Work, and Sociology.

All students take the A-G requirements needed to graduate LAUSD and making them CSU and UC ready. Students are also offered a variety of Honors and AP Courses in addition to the course work specific to SJTA.
